The gap
Becoming a CFO is not a technical problem.

You already know the accounting. The harder part is everything around it: reading what the owner is not saying, deciding what to bring to the table, and holding a position when it gets uncomfortable. None of that shows up on a certification exam, and most people learn it the slow way.

The Unwritten CFO shortens that curve. Decision discipline, financial and operational clarity, and the judgment to tell the difference between what is urgent and what actually moves the business forward.

Inside the group

What happens inside

Everything you get as a member, and how it works.

1

Two live sessions a month

We meet live on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, at noon or 6 p.m. Central. Choose the time that fits your day, or come to both. Each session is built around the questions and situations the group brings, so no two are alike.

2

Real situations, worked live

Bring a decision you are stuck on, a conversation you are dreading, or a call you made and are second guessing. We work through it together with Lowell and the group, and you leave with a clearer next step.

3

Stories from the field

Lowell shares what actually happened across 30 years in family-owned businesses, including the mistakes. He walks through the reasoning behind each call, so you can borrow the thinking and not just the outcome.

4

The library

Every replay and resource lives in an ever-evolving library in Simplero. Go back to a session you missed or a framework you want again. You keep access to all of it for as long as you are a member.

5

Peers on the same path

Meet controllers, finance managers, FP&A leads, and operators headed toward the same seat. They are honest about what is working and what is not, and they will tell you what they would do in your position.

6

Never miss a session

Every session is recorded and added to the library, so a busy week or a client emergency will not put you behind. Watch on your own time and bring your questions to the next live session.

Who it is for

Who this is for

Controllers, finance managers, FP&A leads, and operators who see the CFO seat in their future and want to be ready for it.

You are capable. You are probably also carrying a full workload and learning this on your own time. This group is built around that.

Not an accountant or CPA? That is fine. If you work in finance or operations and want to grow toward a CFO role, you belong here. Fractional CFOs, controllers, and operators who want stronger financial judgment will get just as much from it.

About Lowell

Meet your guide, Lowell Mora

Questions

Questions

When are the live sessions?

Two sessions a month, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday, at noon and 6 p.m. Central, so you can pick the time that fits your day. The first sessions are Tuesday, January 12 and Tuesday, January 26, and all of January is free for everyone.

Do I need to be an accountant or CPA?

No. If you work in finance or operations and want to grow toward a CFO role, you belong here.

What if I cannot make a live session?

Every session is recorded and added to the library in Simplero, and you have access for as long as you are a member.

How is this different from a formal CFO program?

A formal program is a fixed curriculum with a larger price tag and a larger time commitment. This is an ongoing group built around live conversation and real situations, at a price that lets you stay as long as it helps.

Can I cancel?

Yes. When you cancel, your access to the replays and resources ends.

Is this only for people who want to be a full-time CFO?

No. Fractional CFOs, controllers, and operators who want stronger financial judgment will get just as much from it.

How do I get the replay if I join after a session?

Replays and resources live in your membership in Simplero. As long as you are a member, you have access to the whole library.

Ready to get to the CFO seat?

If you have been wondering how to get from where you are to the CFO seat, this is built for you. Try your first session free and join us in January.
